- A Board member of JAM which is an NGO that feeds 100,000 pre-school
aged children in informal settlements at day care centres.
- She is the Chairperson of the Business Women’s Association of South

In 2011 she was nominated as a Young Global Leader: World Economic Forum, an
accolade that is bestowed upon you by Her Majesty, Queen Rania of Jordan.
She is a Motivational Speaker and together with her husband they have
established the Romeo and Basetsana Kumalo Family Foundation, which focuses
on the development of child headed household, and children who have been
orphaned by the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
