June Crawford is a Director of Aviation Co-ordination Services (Pty) Ltd and Aviation Specialist.
June Crawford is the Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Business Council of South Africa (TBCSA) – which is he organisation in South Africa that serves to unite and influence the diverse travel and tourism sector to contribute to a competitive, responsible and inclusive tourism economy.
In December 2020 June was appointed to the Interim Board of South African Airways.
June is the former CEO of the Board of Airline Representatives of South Africa (BARSA) the representative association of International and African Airlines. She stepped down in April 2020 after 6 years of establishing BARSA as a leading association in the aviation industry.
She is also the Chair of the Aviation Working Group of the South African BRICS Business Council and the only women Chairman of 9 Working Groups.
In addition she is a Board member of the International Women’s Forum of South Africa – a forum for women with only 7000 members globally.
June has held several positions at KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and has extensive management experience across commercial and operational disciplines in the airline industry. She is a highly motivated business professional with 20 years Board experience in both state-owned and private companies and is a long-standing member of the Institute of Directors of South Africa.
Good Corporate Governance is a key area of focus and interest for June particularly in view of the broad range of stakeholders with whom she interacts.
She was appointed by the Hon. Minister of Transport to the position of Non-Executive Director Air Traffic and Navigation Services, which position she held from 2008 to 2012.
