Thandi is a Founder, Director and Shareholder of Peotona Group Holdings, an investment company, together with Cheryl Carolus, Wendy Lucas-Bull and Dolly Mokgatle. Peotona’s vision is to build a truly South African company that leaves sustainable footprints in communities, contributing to the development of women in business and the development of critical skills in the economy. Thandi’s legal and business career of over 30 years spans the Legal Resources Centre, National Director of both the Independent Mediation Service of SA (IMSSA) and the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) and senior partner at the then commercial law firm, Routledge Modise.

She is involved in various community initiatives including chairing the Legal Resources Trust, the Shanduka Trust, De Beers Fund, Ceramic Foundation and the Fort Hare University Council. She is a trustee of the Zenex Foundation, Bertha Gxowa Foundation and as n Alumni of Inanda Seminary, a Trustee of the Inanda Seminary Education Trust. She chairs the Board of BP Southern Africa and is a Non-Executive Director on the Boards if Toyota SA, Toyota Financial Services (South Africa) Ltd, Reunert Ltd, Ceramic Industries Ltd and the IDC. She was previously a Non-Executive Director of the South African Reserve Bank.
