Zodwa Manase

Chairperson: Isizinda Aluminium & Alusha Natural Resources

Zodwa is the Chairperson of Isizinda Aluminium and Alusha Natural Resources.

Zodwa was the first woman Chairperson of the board of Total South Africa in 2006. She was a board member of the South African Reserve Bank for nine years from 2002 and in the last three years, was appointed the first Chairperson of its Non-Executive Directors Committee. She also was the Chairperson of the State Information Technology Agency (SITA) and TCTA. Other board memberships included Mediclinic, MTN Zakhele, Medical Research Council, Denel, Central Energy Fund and IMC (Brand SA). She also served in numerous audit committees including chairing the audit committees of The Presidency of South Africa until 2008 and the City of Johannesburg from 2015 to 2018.

She founded Manase and Associates auditing and business advisory company in 1996 after holding various senior financial management positions following her training at Deloitte.

Zodwa Is a qualified Chartered Accountant with a B Com and B Com Hons from UNISA and a Higher Diploma in Taxation from the University of Natal.

She completed executive programs in Blockchain Technology and Artificial Intelligence at the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) Sloan School of Management in the United States. She also completed a Women Transforming Leadership Programme at the Oxford University Said Business School in the United Kingdom.

Zodwa is the co-founder of the African Women Charted Accountants organisation (AWCA). She is a Platinum member of the international Women President’s Organisation (WPO).

Zodwa is a director of Bingelela Alloys and a Trustee of the Nelson Mandela Children Hospital Trust and chairs the Trust’s audit committee.
