Until May 2016 I was Deputy Vice Chancellor for Strategic Services at the University of Johannesburg. Before that I held the positions of Managing Director – Sasol Inzalo Foundation and Vice President – Sasol Foundation; Managing Director for the HR Division at Eskom; and Human Resources Director at IBM South Other boards I have sat on include Air Traffic and Navigation Services, T-Systems South Africa (TSSA), South African Post Office, Eskom (executive), Institute for People Management (chairman), South African Business Coalition on HIV and Aids (chairman), I chaired the TSSA Foundation, was a trustee on the UNISA Foundation.

My personal values of integrity, consistency, transparency, and empathy are inspired by the life I have been blessed to live and the shared responsibility I have embraced to build South Africa into a great country.

Qualifications
B.Sc. degree from the University of Fort Hare in 1981 and did postgraduate and executive studies at the Cape Town, Wits and Harvard Business Schools.

Boards
Director at Transnet SOC, the National Research Foundation (NRF), the Tower Group, Food Forward South Africa, and the Standard Bank Tutuwa Community Foundation which I chair. I also serve as a trustee and deputy chair of South African Women in Dialogue (SAWID) and director of the Vinton Holdings Foundation.

Current positions
Executive Chair of Lethushane Pty Ltd, a property development company operating in Ekurhuleni, Gauteng that I founded in 2012. It showcases social entrepreneurship, driven by the need for affordable decent housing, chronic unemployment, and the devastation both these bring.

Interests
My passions are the advancement of women and youth development.
The principal facets of my career are information systems, human resources, general management, education, and property development. I have experience in managing and strengthening operations, including planning, and guiding innovative change in widely varying circumstances.
