Amelia Beattie is a senior executive with more than 25 years’ experience across property, asset management, financial services and business transformation.
She currently leads Business Efficiencies, Property and Sustainable Impact at Standard Bank Group’s Insurance and Asset Management division and serves as Chief Executive of Liberty Two Degrees.
Eight years as heading a JSE-listed property entity, grounded her leadership in accountability, performance discipline, leading people and long-term value creation.
Her career spans Old Mutual Property, STANLIB Asset Management, Liberty Two Degrees and Standard Bank, where she has led large portfolios, built businesses and delivered complex strategic initiatives.
Amelia has also served as President of SAPOA and led the Women’s Property Network, contributing to industry development and the advancement of women.
Today, her focus is on how organisations deliver strong commercial outcomes while creating environments where people can grow and sustain performance over time. She is particularly interested in leadership, mentorship, and advancing conversations around women’s leadership and women’s health in the workplace.
Amelia graduated from the University of Stellenbosch in 1992 with a Bachelor of Commerce in Transport Economics. She was also the creator of the Lead with Heart book – a celebration of extraordinary wisdom of people in 2024.
