Andy Kawa

Businesswoman

Andy Kawa is a values-driven leader, human rights advocate, mentor and catalyst for social transformation. Her leadership is grounded in moral courage, integrity, resilience, empathy and a deep sense of responsibility to use influence in service of others.

Her journey has taken her from business and institutional leadership to challenging systems and advocating for greater justice and accountability. Through Kwanele-Enuf, she transformed personal experience into a platform for systemic change, advocating for zero tolerance of gender-based violence and stronger institutions that protect dignity and human rights.

Today, Andy uses her experience, voice and networks to connect people, challenge institutions, develop women leaders and create opportunities for others. Her leadership extends across South Africa and international platforms, including the Aspen Global Leadership Network, the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women and the International Women’s Forum.

She believes that leadership is a lifelong practice of courage, humility, curiosity, service and action. Her next chapter is focused on multiplying impact — mentoring and sponsoring women and young leaders, strengthening institutions and creating platforms through which others can lead and thrive.

For Andy, leadership is ultimately not about personal achievement or position. It is about what becomes possible for others because you chose to lead.
Her aspiration is to leave a legacy of stronger leaders, stronger institutions and greater opportunity for women and future generations.
