I am Nozipho Jafta, Chief Executive Officer of the South African Sports Confederation, Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SASCOC). With more than three decades of executive leadership experience across both the public and private sectors, I have dedicated my career to building high-performing organisations, strengthening governance, developing strategic partnerships and creating sustainable social impact.
Throughout my professional journey, I have held executive leadership positions at South African Airways (SAA), McDonald’s South Africa, the Road Accident Fund, Proudly South African, and Autopax (a PRASA subsidiary), where I also served as Acting Chief Executive Officer. In these roles, I led national and international marketing strategies, commercial growth initiatives, stakeholder engagement, organisational transformation and governance programmes, while successfully delivering high-profile projects, including McDonald’s South Africa’s activation of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ sponsorship.
As CEO of SASCOC, I continue to champion ethical leadership, organisational excellence and the advancement of South African sport. I am particularly passionate about empowering women, mentoring future leaders and creating inclusive environments where women are equipped to lead and thrive. I currently lead initiatives aimed at strengthening women’s participation and leadership in sport, contribute to the development of South Africa’s Women in Sport agenda, and am spearheading South Africa’s bid to host the International Working Group (IWG) on Women & Sport Conference.
